Test match Jan 3 Cape Town

by jandc1708

Hello, we are from the UK and will be in Cape Town at the time of the start of the first test against England. Can anyone advise me as to how I can get 4 'good' tickets for the first day please? Thanks for any help.

May see you at the match - but unfortunately tickets net yet available.
Have a look at the official Newlands site at: http://www.wpcc.co.za/ticket_info.aspx

I will also keep my ears to the ground and let you know if I can find anything.

Travel Tips for Cape Town

Blue skies and white beaches...surreal

by Tommys

Watching the sunset from Lion's Head, clutching a bottle of bubbly in one hand. A moment of piece and tranquility and infinite beauty. Because I grew up there, there are many, many fond memories. But the one that always stands out is Table Mountain at dusk.

Xhosa fertility dance

by Jenniflower

Fertility dances are traditional, and if a couple has not conceived, this dance will be performed. A weird (and unfair!) thing is that, in this culture, if a couple remains barren, the blame ALWAYS falls on the woman, never the man... and should she seek 'attention' elsewhere, there will be huge disgrace on her, but should he do this? Nothing happens, it is almost expected and he's seen to be more of a man.

Named after Sir George Grey, Governor of the Cape was established in 1846. Many of the original buildings have been restored and today houses caf??s, shops and restaurants. There are many walks around Greyton and into the surrounding nature reserve with its birdlife and fynbos. When you enter this village, you are reminded of an olde English village almost. The main street is line with majestic old oak trees and ?lei? water canals carrying mountain water into the residents many ponds. This village offers you lots of space to do many things, ultra fresh air, tranquility, peace and last but not least quiet.

Vineyard with a difference

by kim_shell about Zevenwacht

Just a short drive out of Cape Town on the Kuils River Road to Stellenbosch you will see the sign posts to this Vineyard. The Restaurant offers numerous dishes, however the Cheese Platters with locally produced cheese and wine are excellent. There are also picnic baskets which can be purchased on site. Cheese Platter
