2 Seperate Parking Bays at Boulders Beach

When visiting Boulders Beach note that there is 2 parking area`s. One Parking area is where there is no penguins on the beach. You got to walk about 400m between the houses where you`ll come out to the area where the Penguin cologny is. You can walk further 200m from there to the beach with the penguins where you`ll be able to swim there. The other parking spot is at the entrance of the beach where you can swim at the same beach with the penguins.
Just remember to keep your ticket that you paid for at the section of Penguin Cologny as this will provide you entrance to the Penguin beach. The path is clearly marked with sign boards and the walk way is a wooded pathway.
What should you take to the Cape???

Take a normal suit case,hand luggage and a small back pack for when you go on walks and trips. Take light clothes for the day and something warm for the evenings as they can be chilly.Do take a good pair of walking shoes. Take your E111 for free medical treatment and plenty of sun lotion and after sun.Take mossie repellant and bite relief cream.Do take plasters and stomoch upset pills and headache pills and make sure your jabs are up to date. Do take pictures in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the harsh bright light and keep your film cool.

When you do the Paarl wineroute, make sure that you do not miss Fairview. Not only do they make lovely wines, but they also make the most devine goats cheeses that you can test on the premises and buy there.
If you go from CT to Paarl on the N1, you take the Klapmuts turnoff just before Paarl and then turn to your left. Follow the roadmarkings.
Most expensive taxis in the World!!

The rates for taxis in Cape Town are the highest we've seen anywhere in the world. Starting at 7 rand per Km they can go up to 11 Rand per Km, that is a whooping EUR1.16 per Km or $2.37 per mile!!!. We're talking here about fully legal and metered taxis.
It is up to the taxi company to determine how much to charge per km as long as it is listed on the taxi itself. To avoid nasty surprises chech the following before getting into a cab:
1 - check price per km listed at the back of the taxi and remember you can look/call for a cheaper one. I'd suggest to ask your hotel for the number of cheaper ones.
2 - Ask in advance how far is the place you're going to and the approximate cost of the taxi ride.
Taxis can't be stopped in the middle of the street, you can find them at taxi stands or call for one.

Timeless Way changes their menu between summer time and winter time I have noticed. They have a wide variety including many South African favorites, but also some other eclectic dishes to choose from. Their portions are very hearty and the food tasted devine everytime that I have visited them. prawn salad
