Lucky you!

The town of Hermanus is close by (5km) - google that to see more about the area. But the little village of Onrust is also very pleasant.

Very safe.

Travel Tips for Cape Town

Freedom Pride Parade

by mvtouring

The tenth Freedom Pride Parade was held on Saturday 1st March. Approx 20 "float's" took part in the very colourful event that started out at Greenpoint. Thousand enjoyed the event which lasted until late night. The freedom pride parade lasts for more than a week and usually starts with the beauty contest to select Mr & Miss Cape Town Pride.

Blue lagoon

by tgirl007

The west coast national park is something not to be missed by the nature lover. It costs a mere $2 for the day, and what you get in exchange is a day in heaven. This reserve is scattered with beautiful indigenous flowers(in the right season)the occasional tortoise crossing the road and ostriches. It is about 50km from Cape town city along the west coast highway toward a little place called Darling. After driving for about 15 minutes in the reserve, you come to a turn-off called churchaven...take it!!this is a small village built on the banks of one of the most beautiful natural lagoons in the world. The water is warm and shallow, for about 100m+ it then dips gradually and gets colder.Perfect for a day with the kids swimming in blue green waters...paradise...take care with the sand sharks when entering some parts of the lagoon, as they are in abundance in some areas, but they are harmless so not to worry!just move on....or else you will be stepping on them.....

The best place to shop!!!

by JackiKasner about Canal Walk

It is a great place. All the shops you can think of under one roof!!! And there's always something happening. I go there at least twice a weekend... Anything you can get you hands on. They cater for everyone. There are cheap and very expencive shops. So it all depends on you...

From Johanesbourg, there is a brand new airline company called Kulula.com, and the roundtrip is very cheap!
The best is to rent a car, as there are many things to see outside the center...and the prices are really not expensive

The Bay Hotel, Camps Bay

by jlanza29 about The Tides inside the Bay Hotel

Located right on Victoria Rd. in Camps Bay. The Bay Hotel has a wonderful, wonderful breakfast setup....you could either have a perfectly made omellete or the cold item buffet, the prices include juices, coffee, pastries, bread, etc.,....The service was friendly and great. I would highly recommend this place for a lazy breakfast. Paid just about R140 about $20 US dollars for a great breakfast with gratuity included for 2...can't go wrong.
