The Table Bay Hotel, located on Cape Town's Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, straddles the antique breakwater and is an architectural masterpiece, capturing the essence of the enchanting Cape, the Victorian elegance of yesterday, combined with the contemporary design of today. It is in perfect harmony with the backdrop of Table Mountain, the historic working harbour and the yacht bay.
Everything is at easy disposal to you , very central and a great place to stay.
Well you might see Michael Jackson staying here now and then.
I've paid between US$160-$330 a night for this hotel, which is preposterously expensive by South African standards. Many other excellent hotels are cheaper. But I still like the Table Bay!
This hotel is outrageously expensive and so over-the-top that I was embarrassed to be staying there. But hey, if the company is paying, who am I to refuse? The place is really beautiful, right on the waterfront with rooms as fabulous as you could ever wish for. On my first trip to Cape Town, every day, Helen and Kathy (who were enjoying a life of leisure in my hotel while I was working) had a spectacular free breakfast at the hotel's restaurant on the water.
The Victoria and Alfred was the first luxury hotel to open at the Waterfront complex. Quite apart from the usual pampering you would expect from a good hotel, it offers superb views of Table Mountain. Old Cliffie enjoyed a New Year's Eve there, when the lights were switched off at midnight and a kilted piper entered the hotel to bring in the New Year in the traditional Scottish manner.

Victoria and Alfred Hotel a first rate hotel in the middle of the V&A Waterfront area. Excellent restaurants, bars, and shopping are mere seconds away. Some are right under your room!!! Wonderful staff, very hospitable. I highly recommend this hotel. Off-season last year it was about US$80 per night. Incredible value.
A former (fishing?) warehouse that's been totally re-done. Great big rooms, be sure to get those that look out to Table Mountain. Good restaurant/bar, slightly more expensive than it's neighbors. Great breakfast. Walking distance to almost everything.
Lovely quaint B&B, clean, tidy and service second to none. Otherguests ranged from honeymooners to older couples , suitable for any age group.
Rooms good, although we were lucky to get an upgrade, I think the regular rooms are small, but still good value for money. Breakfast really delicious and lots of it!
One of the more expensive options, but if you can afford it then go for it. The location is great, easy access to all the bars, restaurants and shops of the V&A Waterfront. Service is superb, the rooms are well equipped and some have great views of Table Mountain. The swimming pool could be larger, but you can normally get one of the very comfortable sun beds and there is a full bar on hand to serve lunches, cocktails etc.
