Hotel accomodation for 3 women

by annee5

Hi all,
We are 3 women looking to stay in capetown for 4 nights at the end of our trip next March..we are wanting to stay around the waterfront in one of the hotels there but are having problems finding a hotel that would have a room sleeping 3 comfortably...any recommendations for hotels that would suit would be gratefully received...Thanks

Waterfront Village and Life is a great choice. Located right next to the Cape Grace on the Waterfront. Accomodations are excellent and rates are very reasonable, apartment style living with washer/dryer, full kitchen, and living room. Great place to stay.

Travel Tips for Cape Town

Kalk Bay Fishing Harbour

by glennkasner

There's nothing that compares to a fresh linefish straight from the boat and Kalk Bay is the place to get it! The Kalk Bay community has it's roots in fishing and many colourful characters can be seen if you pop in to the picturesque little harbour.

Silvermine Nature Reserve

by bijo69

Silvermine Nature Reserve is located South of Cape Town and was named after some unsuccessful attempts to mine silver here. It's a beautiful place to go hiking though. You'll wander through fynbos (the local bush) and if you you come in autumn you'll see the proteas blossoming.
There's a car park on Ou Kaapse Weg from where a lot of the trails start. Entrance is 10 Rand per car if I remember it correctly.

A mall is a mall is a mall...but

by cochinjew about Victoria and Albert Seafront Shopping Centre

Hundreds of shops and eating places and three weeks later I was to go to Mall of the Americas in Minneapolis..
Let me tell one thing for sure while the shopping goods in general were similar.. those shopping at cape town were a FAR MORE ATTRACTIVE CROWD THAN THE ONES IN MINNEAPOLIS...

What a lovely setting for a shopping mall..

Check out a no-frills airlines to Jo'burg from Cape Town.

Also watch SAA's website for two ranges of bargain
fares introduced to compete with no-frills airline One is the "nite club" available on its late night flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays for R695 + taxes. It flyes from Cape Town to Jo'burg.

The second range is "dazzling" and the routes will be the same as kulula and will fly between Cape Town and Jo'burg and Durban.

These two ranges wil be permanently available, but will be subject to conditions.
