The Hike up table Mountain- If your reasonbly fit , GO for it. It takes around 3 hours , and weather permiting ,its awsome. Take something to drink (I took 2 ,500Ml cokes ) I finished both before i got to the top but was able to full up one of the bottles with fresh water from a stream half way up.
The Scenery is beatiful. The plants are amazing. The climb its exilirating. Climb up and take the Cabel Car down. Look out for Rock rabbits (Dasies ) some species of buck and the huge variety of birds on the way up. Experienced climbers can go straight up the mountain (next time for me) . Keep to the paths , watch out for snakes , and go in a group. Keep an Eye on the weather , and take a wind breaker , as the weather changes VERY quickly. Getting to the top of table mountain , out of breath , laying on a rock and having tourists asking me if i need and ambulance. I just needed a smoke.....
(Photo taken on the way UP table mountain - you can see the cable car in the middle peak . Table Mountain is 1085 meters above Sea Level.)
Four Seansons in one day
by cokes
Hey Guys , all I can say is always keep a jacket handy. Cape Towns weather is influenced by the warm Indian Ocean and the very cold Atlantic Ocean.
The wind can just start blowing all of the sudden and trust me , it can be how hot sometimes you`ll get this this cold breeze blowing.
You can be on signal hill checking out the view and all of the sudden you covered in mist. Sometimes you find its storming in Cape Town and it might be dry with clear skies in Simons Town. A word of advise , try not to visit Cape Town in winter because it`s their rainy seanson and it can become very miserable in Winter. Watch the wind as well because that South-Easter can really get blowing sometimes.

Riebeek Wes, like Riebeek Kasteel used to be a district of the Swartland congregation of the Dutch Reformed Church at Malmesbury, but later became independent. Riebeek Wes is noted for the fact that two of South Africa's major political figures were born here. Dining in Hout Bay
by SESM about Mariners Wharf
On a balcony overlooking the tiny beach and blue water of Hout Bay, you can enjoy fresh seafood and the view! There are other more informal restaurants near the wharf but this is the nicest one. You can't go wrong ordering the "line fish" which is the fish of the day! Even if you don't recognize the name of the fish -- try it, if you are a fish lover, you won't be disappointed! Kingklip, Cobeljou, Cape Salmon, Yellowtail or Tuna are all good bets!
