Shopping!
There are great shops and a crafts market in the city around Green Market Square, the V & A Waterfront Shopping Mall and about 20 minutes (N1) from Cape Town you'll find Century City with Africa's biggest Shopping Mall called 'Canal Walk'.
Hiking up Table Mountain
by mvtouring
Please do not hike up Table Mountain on your own. Use one of the companies that offer to do the hike. Many companies offer the popular half-day hike which involves hiking up the mountain, but taking the well-known Rotair Cable Way to descend the mountain after hiking to the top. Full-day hikes allow for seeing more of the mountain and often involve hiking both up and down, avoiding the cable car.
Local handcrafts on sale
by Jasoninlondon about Green Square Market
This market is right in the centre of town and is open everyday I believe. The market is a reasonable size but is also surrounded by good shops. A lot of local art is available along with carvings and locally made jewelry. The prices in the market can be negotiated although the shops are a bit firmer. Things are quite cheap here although I am sure you could find cheaper out of town. But this place is convienient and fun.
South Africa to Lesotho

Drive up Sani Pass before it's paved... they want to pave it to help the local economy of Lesotho. That's all well and good, but the icy, snowy, muddy, narrow switchback road up Sani Pass is a great drive up to the highlands of Lesotho... not something to be missed. I'll try to find another image of it, but I was busy driving and not taking pictures.
Sani Pass is a beautiful off-road drive. You'll need four-wheel drive in the winter, especially, but I'm not sure you're allowed to go up if you don't have it. It'd be nice to have in Lesotho as well.
from Cape Town to Caio
by morne about Moyo's
Moyo's is an experience. You are welcomed with a young lady washing your hands and singing a lovely song in Zulu. Then they offer to paint your face before you start on the fantastic "buffet" They offer various meats on the braai done in different styles, Salads from local to Maroccan or maybe Kenian. The food is a selection from all over Africa and is absolutely fatastically prepared. too many, but I think the Egiptian bread and ducca was my favorite.
