Swellengrebel Hotel

In need of a facelift. Accommodation is basic, we paid nearly R700 for a "deluxe" double room which left us thankful that there were no standard rooms left. The bathroom was not cleaned properly, in the bath and floor I spotted hairs from the previous perons private regions. I had to go and buy bleach from the shop nearby before i could use it. The jacuzzi had a brown ring around the edge and the sauna was not on.

It does have a nice pool area and the staff were friendly.

We went up for the cycling race and upon check out I received a much higher bill than was expected only to be told that the "breakfast" we had eaten, 2 slices of toast each for my husband and myself and 1 cup of coffee accounted for the additional R150. We don't even get charged those prices here! DISGUSTING!!!

I will never again stay there or recommend it to anyone.
