Park Plaza Sandton
This 4 star hotel offers basic and clean lodging. It's within 10 minutes walk to the convention centre. the buffet breakfast is decent but the small pool and gym are passable.
Unique Quality: The complimentary airport shuttle bus is a godsend. At US$30 one way that's equivalent to one night stay itself. Unless you are prepared to drive your own rental car, this service alone is a treasure.

The Michelangelo Hotel: One of the best ways to explore Sandton
I havn't stayed here before but have spoken to people (family and friends), who say this is one of the best places to stay. It is right next to a major shopping centre, Sandton City, Direct access to the centre from the hotel.
Unique Quality: Great Views, close to everything under the sun except a beach (lol), 5 star..you will have to find out for yourself!
