Holiday resort/Casino style holiday

Our stay in the hotel, was perfect, the service good, staff friendly. There are family packages for during various times of the year.
If you l enjoy the resort style holiday . You can book at the Lost City, but it will cost you slightly more. The Palace of the Lost City in South Africa ranks as one of the world's most extraordinary hotels. The centrepiece of the extraordinary Palace of the Lost City complex is a fairytale palace residence, built with unbelievable attention to detail. The interior features exquisite mosaics, frescoes and hand-painted ceilings depicting South Africa 's wildlife and culture. Hard to believe that this is all located in a remote part of South Africa! You can play golf, while the kids are at the choice of swimming pools. There are wide choice of restaurants f Breakfasts are a sumptious affair.

to family fun. It is a type of Las Vegas in Africa.
You will find lots to do, wether you are there with the family, or just the two of you.

You can play Golf, (2 signature golf courses) or go for a safari at the Pilanesberg National Park wich is one of South Africa's largest national parks, covering an area of 55 000ha. The Pilanesberg area is in fact the crater of a long extinct and eroded volcano, thought to have been formed 1 200 million years ago. Spectacular landscapes are a feature of this area: four rings of hills encircle the reserve and a large central lake is a hotspot for game activity. With a diversity of game you're almost certain to spot at least one member of the Big Five during a drive.

Up Market Hotel , Magnificent Gardens & Pool

We did not stay at this hotel but visited several times during our stay at Sun City Resort. The large reception area, bar and coffee lounge are very appealing, well presented and if the same standard is applied to the rooms this hotel is certainly a 4 star or better hotel.

We visited the pool which is very appealing with rock waterfalls, bridges and sun lounges resting in beach sand. Bar and food service is available to the pool area.

Vistas Bar and Coffee restaurant is situated on the hotel terrace which overlooks the waterfall, pool and gardens and we found it the ideal place to relax for an hour or more.

Cascades Hotel

Cascades Hotel Sun City. South Africa

This is such a fun and entertaining place to stay. Minutes from the Palace Hotel which is an African fantasy world; the Cascades Hotel is fascinating with its endless display of waterfalls and cascades.

It is set in the spark ruggedness of the Pilanesberg National Park where elephants, rhinos, lions and antelope roam freely in their natural habitats - a must to see. Our room was large and comfortable, situated on the ground floor with a small balcony. The whole Sun City experience was fabulous, and winning 5000.00 on blackjack made it more memorable.

Living in Style

Lush gardens, tropical birds and water features give The Cascades its sophistication and elegance. Its a lovely place to stay.

Unique Quality: The luxury rooms at the Cascades Hotel get superior treatment and each room will have the added distinction of having their own dressing room with built in dressing table, cupboards and shoe racks. The bathrooms will have double vanity units and be somewhat larger than the standard bathrooms.

Warm African Welcome

If you cannot afford to stay at the super luxurious Palace Hotel, an option that might be a little cheaper is the Cascades Hotel at Sun City.
From the time you enter the very opulent lobby you just know you are in for a good stay.
The rooms are spacious and provide a very comfortable stay. And no matter where you go you always have a friendly smile greeting you.

Unique Quality: Conveniently located close to the Entertainment Centre for those feeling lucky to win some big money.
The grounds of the hotel are also fantastic with with a man-made tropical forest which is lovely to go walking around in.
There are also a few pools to choose from, some heated and some unheated. There is also a waterslide for the children at the heated pool.

Luxury alternative at Sun City

The Cascades Hotel in Sun Cityis aptly named for the tumbling waters flowing through lush tropical forest in which it is set and is home to beautiful tropical birds. T

he Cascades Hotel is the grand old lady of Sun City and is the epitome of timeless elegance, sophistication and understated luxury. For visitors who are familiar with Sun City the Cascades Hotel is understandably often a favourite. All rooms face the tropical splendour of the gardens, which offer visitors seclusion and escape from the hustle and bustle of the rest of Sun City as well as a perfect setting to relax and let the holiday spirit take over.

At the Cascades Hotel at Sun City there are 243 rooms each having en-suite bathrooms, TV, radio, air-conditioning, telephone and minibar. The luxury rooms and suites also have spa baths, private patios, sitting rooms and bar areas. The Presidential suite is amazing and is equipped with its own jacuzzi.

If it's a view you are after whilst sipping on a cocktail then the Vistas Bar is the place to go. There is a magnificent view of the mountains and valley surrounding Sun City. If you want to have drinks before dinner at the Cascades Hotel then the Peninsula Bar is a good choice.

Unique Quality: The accommodation an views are great, but my favourite was the pool area, which is a great place to laze in the sun!
