Residential Villa: Residential complex, Merowe Dam

We had been told we would be put up at the VIP guest house, but somehow arrangements fell through. Half our group found rooms there, but my husband, our driver and myself were given a residential villa for the night.
The villa had a hall , kitchen, dining room and a twin bedded room downstairs. Up stairs was a double bed room with en-suite bathroom. A balcony.
A hall with water cooler and/or television was furnished with comfortable leather chairs. there was a twin bedded room, and a 'children's room.' with three single beds, and a communal bathroom.

Unique Quality: The views across the complex and to the dam were good. And when you consider all this area had been hills, the work involved into turning it into such a modern site is admirable.
The furnishings in the building were new and modern, but unfortunately the maintenance was not up to standard. the toilet seat was broken, the hot tap produced BOILING water, and no water came from the shower. The electricity socket in the hall was already broken.
Although both rectangular and round sockets were provided, they did not accept the plugs on my camera battery charger!
