Renovated hotel Khartoum
Amazing changes at Regency Hotel (ex-Meridien) since last visit 3 years ago.
Everything is new, modern, comfortable with a traditionnal friendly welcome.
Rooms are relaxing with duvet bedding (I love it) variety of internationals TV channel. Internet.Indivudual safe (very practical).
I enjoy the good quality of food from their buffet specialy at breakfast. I have always found the food in this hotel very good with a good value for money compare to the market.
There are not much to do in Khartoum at night, so I found pleasant to have a shisha (narguileh) around the outdoor swimming pool. It is like an oasis.
If you come for business, this place is definitively a good address. Internet is free all over the hotel, you are downtown. (it is easy for me to be close to all administrations). The price are very competitive for Khartoum.
Next time you go to Khartoum, you should try it. Satisfaction garanty.

Khartoum's best value for money
It used to be operated under the Le Meridien Brand and had been under complete renovation. But recently opened in March 2010 it is an amazing 4 star facility in downtown khartoum. The staff were very friendly and proffessional while the food was exceptionally good. The free Wi-fi all over the hotel was ideal. You feel you are in Sudan and mix with the people, however at the same time the Hotel is professionally operated and provides one of the best value for money in room prices. I stayed for 3 weeks and my stay was very enjoyable.

Pool available which in Khartoum heat is perfect for after work.

Meridien becomes Regency
The Meridien hotel in central Kahrtoum has been renamed Regency.
I don't know more about it, I only use the Internet facilities that are quite nice for SDG 5 per hour.
