A choice of three
Gedarif seems to have just three main hotels, one posh one which sticks out like a sore thumb (Al-Mutawakil), a largish one which looks sort of Sudanese mid-range, and the one we stayed in, a budget option. I can't remember the names of the last two, but they are right next to the central bus station. The budget one wasn't bad...rooms had everything you need for sleeping (i.e. a bed and nothing else), and toilets were quite horrific as usual. The owner was friendly, and it was cheap, at £500 for the room (just over one British pound).
