Marangu Luxury Shuttles;Nairobi Arusha Ngorongoro

by rmunerux

"Nairobi Arusha luxury shuttle bus"

Have been to Africa and was interested to note not all we read about Africa and people are real. My experience was exceptional.

I booked my transfer with a shuttle bus company and was not sure if they really do what promised. We arrived on a Kenya Airways flight at about 22.20hrs some minutes later than was estimated. Check out was fast. We got our luggage and proceeded, we saw our names boldly printed. Marangu luxury shuttles agent was in hand to welcome us with a smile, boarded luxury shuttle to Sandton palace hotel for a night. They booked our rooms and indeed all went as planned.

"Nairobi Arusha shuttle, L Manyara, Ngorongoro tour"

The next morning was a day to travel to Arusha to join our safari to Ngorongoro, Manyara it was the best tour to Africa I think have done.
The journey with our shuttle started from Nairobi's Muindi Mbingu street, near Parkside hotel Nairobi at 8.00am. We drove to the boarder town of Namanga and crossed into Tanzania. The drive to Arusha was comfortable, with a friendly and punctual driver, Mr Dismas, we recommend him. We stayed at Kibo Palace hotel for our first night in Arusha.

We drove on an exceptional luxury coach; sleeping seats, the shuttle bus fitted with air con system, and was working (surprisingly!). Thank you Wilfred to promise and give just that! My group enjoyed much driving on African roads and everything went perfect

Information about visas to Kenya and Tanzania was given. No surprise changes on prices and rules. At the immigration office crossing the border to Tanzania, Zaituni a Marangu shuttles staff assisted us with all border/visa formalities.

Our tour to Ngorongoro was out of this world, we saw plenty of animals; After a sumptuous breakfast at the Kibo hotel , we embarked on a Safari to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara. One of the most scenic parks that we encountered on our journey in Tanzania, and it is situated on the base of the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. While driving up the rift wall, Lake Manyara appears behind us. The view is breathtaking, as we took in this massive lake with it’s silver shimmer and surrounding vegetation. Like most Rift Valley lakes, the water is alkaline. This attracts vast flocks of flamingos, which form pink foam against a silver background of water. There are numerous water birds in the area, including pelicans that waddle around next to short grasses on the shore of the lake. The park is a bird lover’s haven with a variety of local species inhabiting the forest and bush. The best time to observe these birds is in the late afternoon and early morning. Animals also we found in the area include zebra, wildebeest, waterbuck and warthog. Manyara is also known for its tree-climbing lions. These majestic animals find shelter in the branches of trees from the heat and biting flies. There is a particular belt, which they frequent along the woodland, south of the Msasa River. These lions also have a peculiar specialization of killing buffalo. An adult buffalo weighs in the proximity of one and a half tons, being far larger than the average weight of an adult male lion. After our phenomenal experience, we retired to our Lodge, over Night at Lake Manyara Serena lodge

From Lake Manyara we drove to Ngorongoro Crater, for, Africa's Eden; The Crater; Twelve miles wide, the Ngorongoro Crater is a home to the rare Black Rhino and has its own Soda Lake. The highest concentration of wild animals in the Crater area means that you are likely to see the “African Big Five” in a short period of time. As we descend 2,200 feet into the Crater, we experience a thrilling day among Africa's Big Five: the Lion, the Elephant, the Buffalo, the Black Rhino and the Leopard. After a picnic lunch and a phenomenal of game viewing, we drove to our lodge for dinner and overnight at Serena lodge.

Our last day at Ngorongoro, we drove back to Arusha. Arrived at around 12.00hrs for lunch, and took our shuttle bus to Moshi town. A village town near mount Kilimanjaro. We have a project here and stayed for 8 days. I write this to recommend MARANGU LUXURY SHUTTLES http://www.marangushuttles.com for the organization and professional safari shuttle operator in Kenya and Tanzania. I will be free to receive mails from any guests who would like to know about shuttle services and tours.

Marangu shuttle buses offer daily luxury transport services to and from Nairobi City, Jomo kenyatta international airport to Arusha ,Moshi and Marangu. The town along the route is Namanga. Tourist, businessman or a family, planning to travel from Kenya to Tanzania or vice versa, this would be the comfortable way to travel.

A serene drive as you view the lush beauty of the Kenya and Tanzania plains. This adventure drive along the lush terrain and wildlife, will give you a chance of catching a glimpse of the reverred Mount Kilimanjaro on the way. The journey starts from Nairobi's down town through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. crossing between Kenya and Tanzania at the Namanga Border to Arusha town, a stop for lunch or refreshment for 30 minutes then proceed to Moshi, finaly Marangu. Daily service

Is arusha a costly city to visit

Re: arusha

by gofan

Hi,

Arusha is a tourist city, so its a bit expensive. But worrynot there are cheap and clean accommodation for budget travellers.I am living here in Arusha, therefore usd 45 you can spend for a double room, dinner and breakfast. But if you think of wildlife safari, the prie will not exceed usd 110 per person per day.
I hope the above will help you to plan your trip if you still dream.

Travel Tips for Arusha

At last - a place with no rain!!

by Vaughanie

Arrived in Tanzania a few days ago and yet again I am amazed at how the scenery changes over the boarders. Here is is so dry and brown and mainly flat. They tell me it hasn't rained much at all this year and you can tell. The campsite is just soil and dust and frequently blows all over you. You have a shower and 2 minutes later you're minging again. Ho Hum
We have been staying on a snake farm, they also have crocs. Horrible Horrible things. Phil attended the clinic for the local Maasai tribes and ended up helping best he could in the circumstances (ie no equipment but no shortage of drugs)

We went to the Ngorongoro Crater for a couple of days which was amazing. Not great for Game as it is so bloody dry here but being in the crater itself is pretty special and they have forest, swamp, lakes and grassland in there so a good variety of animals. So bloody cold though!! They tell me it will get warmer from now on wards the further south we go.... bring it on....

Got to dash as we're having lunch overlooking Mount Kili this afternoon so cant be late for that. Zanzibar at the weekend............
