This was a luxury lodge within an hours drive of the Kilimanjaro airport. We were only here briefly. Because of its proximity to the airport, it is a great place to stop over for a night at start of your safari.
It offers a ton of amenities and beautiful grounds.
The food in general at the Serena hotels was pretty good, and was included in the stay. The food in this hotel in particular was in the middle of the pack for the Serena properties we stayed at.
Pros:
Nice bed.
Slipper and mosquito netting provided.
Food was good.
Cons:
Wifi not working here.
My flight arrives Nairobi at 21:40 and I need to get to Arusha, the Serena Mountain Village hotel to join the safari starting the next day 8am.
What would be the safest yet affordable way to go to Arusha from Nairobi airport, for a single female traveler? My safari company does not make transportation arrangement for me :(

It is shuttle bus,
daily in the morning and afternoon.
Flight also is available.
