If you are in Daresalaam(DAR) you must visit Kunduchi beach and Kariako market and the ocean front and take a ferry to Zanzibar,the principal departure point for all slaves out of E.Africa and learn the influence of Arabs on the local culture on the east coast.

I don't have to mention climbing up Mt Kilimanjaro and visiting Serengeti wildlife reserve. As a kid i used to love going swiming in lake Victoria and fishing for Tilapia which is not native to the lake but was intorduced by the Brits,However you can no longer swim there without the fear of contracting Bhilarzia,spread by tropical parasite through open wounds or cuts and can destroy your liver.
