Pole Pole: A perfect place to relax

Pole Pole is a small and intimate resort comprising only seven bungalows overlooking Chole Bay, the core of Mafia Island Marine Park. I loved the beautiful atmosphere of the bungalow, tastefully designed and built using local materials and genuine Zanzibari antiques. Food was really special, a combination of diverse culinary traditions and cultures, mainly Italian and Swahili. Pole Pole Diving Center organizes a lot of excursions within and outside Chole Bay as well as picnics in isolated islets and sandbank. Besides diving and snorkeling in one of the most beautiful area of the world I lived also the wonderful experience of swimming with whale sharks! In the late afternoon, after a full day of activities, it was really a pleasure to have a rest reading and drinking in the duara or having a massage in the massage centre overlooking the beach. After my safari to the Selous Park, Pole Pole was a perfect place to relax.

You feel pampered by people working at Pole Pole, so attentive and ready to satisfy your needs, your curiosity, your desire to know and see everything of Mafia Island, one of the last pristine environment of the world.
