Hotel Oasis: Excellent kitchen

My wife and I had dinner in the restaurant of Hotel Oasis on our way back from Mikumi National Park to Dar es Salaam. The menu offered Tanzanian, Chinese and Indian food. We chose for the Indian and it was among the best price-quality ratios I've ever seen: 3.5 Euro for a three course meal including (soft) drink and water. The atmosphere in the restaurant is not very good: it is basically a big room with tables, chairs and TL tubes, with no view on anything interesting.
The hotel is situated in the city center. According to Tanzanian standards, the hotel is world class. It offers en-suite facilities in all rooms, minibar, telephone and sattelite television. The rooms are situated around a swimming pool in the hotel's patio garden.
The hotel is a well-known place for businessmen. Many congresses are helt in Hotel Oasis.
The hotel was clearly built in the nineteensixties. Since then, it has been maintained well, but it was never refurbished. To a certain extent a great experience, as it is difficult to find such hotels at home.
