The place to stay in Moshi!

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on April 9, 2010

The Osy Grand is a well situated hotel with comfortable rooms with the best shower I had in Tanzania: great water pressure and HOT!! There is a terrace in the restaurant on the first floor with interesting views of the busy and lively streets below. There is a wide choice of food in the restaurant but patience is required when ordering. Most staff speak english and are helpful giving information about Moshi town. The hotel has an in house tour company offering reasonably priced safaris to the Northern Circuit, Kili Climbs, Cultural Tours and Beach holidays which saves having to shop around. Try to book directly by email as you will save money and can possibly negotiate a good deal.

Unique Quality: The Osy is the tallest hotel in Moshi and has panoramic views from its Summit rooftop including fantastic views of Kilimanjaro at dawn and dusk.

Directions: It is located off Market Street which is one of the two main streets running parallel from the Clock Tower roundabout near Akiba and Boa banks
