Stanley Motel Singida: Great deal

We stayed here for 5 weeks while doing research. For 25,000 shillings per night (although you can bargain with them for extended stays), you get a clean room with mosquito net, TV with cable, refrigerator, and private bath as well as a full breakfast in the morning. There is, in theory, hot water, although sometimes it goes out. The staff is very friendly, and the restaurant is good, although a little over priced. It's in the center of town, so it's a little noisy, but all in all a good place. People warned us about theft there, but we kept our things locked in the built-in closets, and never had a problem. I would definitely recommend staying here! It's one of the more expensive places in Singida, but worth it.
