Sunbeach Hotel & Resort, Banjul: West of Africa:
A nice, 3-4-star hotel on the Antlantic Ocean beach near Bakau village.
Good food, friendly (west-)african service and nice rooms.Windy, sea sometimes very rough.
Unique Quality: Good sports-facilities, close to the market of Bakau-village. Many possibilities for tours to some villages to experience real village-life. Excursions by ship on the Gambia-River

The Sunwing: Gambia inclusive
The Sunwing is an all inclusive swedish run resort on a nice long strand of beach on the coast. We picked this resort because we were taking a "vacation from our vacation" and we wanted easy, avaliable meals and a room with AC. It was a nice break from travelling independently in Senegal and it was close. The hotel runs excursions up river for those so inclined. But if you just want to relax by the pool and take it easy this place is a rare bit of ease to be found in this region.
Unique Quality: The place to gather would be the pool which has a bar located very close by and lots of lounge chairs located in a covered area. The pool is clean and spacious
