Entrance restaurant ''Chez Alice'' by sachara On the highway to Aneho, about 10 KM east of Lome in the small village Aveposo at the coast is the camping ''Chez Alice''. We stayed here for two nights. ''Chez Alice'' has a lovely shady garden with its own well to fetch water. There were also two monkeys around. The bungalows are basic. Our bungalow ( 4.500 CFA for 2 persons) has its own African shower (bucket with kalebash), but shared toilets with the campingguests. The food and the juices at the restaurant were very good and not expensive. During the evening there was drumming and dancing, if you asked. For going to Lome we took a bushtaxi (500 CFA) or a normal taxi (1000 CFA). The distance was rather far for moto-taxis. It was not possible to reach the beach directly form the camp-site, you had to take a track, 100 M east. Palm Beach is situated in the heart of Lome. The hotel is oldest of the bigger hotels. The rooms are big but the smelly at times. The service to my opinion was okay. It is a 5 star hotel with a pool on the 2nd floor and a restaurant giving an ariel view of the Lome city. There is a tunnel which connects the hotel to a commercial complex, which also houses a disco, which was once upon a time the largest in west africa. It is still crowded on the weekends. Overall a good place to spent a night or two if you are on a business trip.
There is also a Casino, where you can try your luck !!! Theme: HotelPrice: US$80-120 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: 1 Blvd de la Republic, Bp 2252, Lome, TogoPhone: + 228 321 8511

by ajayzener I have stayed in this hotel for a week in 2005 Sep on my way to accra from cotonou. I must say that this is the best hotel in town, although very expensive. The staff is very helpful, but the ambeince is of comfort. It is a really nice leisure destination, one can spent a couple of weeks watching the sea or by the poolside. The hotel boasts of a olympic size pool. There is also boating, fishing and horse riding arranged on request. Apart from the regular rooms, they also have service apartments. The entry and reception area is big with a Bar on one side and the reception on the other side. Most days you will find exhibitions at the reception, mostly to do with the country's fine arts. Though I should warn that I found the souveniers much overpriced than the regular market. The rooms also average sized, are very clean and comfortable. There are two restaurants Dawa and Sika-Sika, Sika-Sika is by the poolside and you can enjoy the food with a view of the large pool. The mornining breakfast is elaborate and not to be missed. There is a disco which is nice and plays good music, but it is packed during the weekends. Difficult to get a place to sit if you are a late entrant and want to just enjoy a drink. Overall one of the best facilities in West Africa
Pool View rooms are really good, also the mornining breakfast is not to be missed. Can let your hair down in the disc if you are there during a weekend, music is mostly english, french, arabic and hindi.

Good old hotel, with a supposed 5* service, but in fact not more than 3*. However, charm of old hotels, good comfort for the price, very well located, and a tunnel is linking directly the hotel with the Privilège.
Open swiming pool on the 2nd floor, sight on the beach and the sea, shops, restaurant, the breakfast is served in the room. Theme: HotelComparison: about averageAddress: 1, rue KoumoréDirections: Palm Beach

Charming hotel on the lagune of Lomé, not far from main places. External atmosphere is very nice and cosy, all is oriented on the swimming pool and the lagune.

The hotel restaurant is ok, especially with the band playing some music. Our room was very basic and small.
Restaurant with live music.
