David looking desperate for a
'walk in the woods'
by grets, 1 more photos The ‘campground’ was literally just a field where we asked permission from the village chief if we could camp for the night. Noah chose the spot right next to a new school, hoping we’d be able to use their facilities. Unfortunately, the construction of the school was not finished, and guess what – there was no toilet or bathroom yet! Which meant that you took a spade and some toilet paper and went out into the bush until you found a bush or tree suitably far away from the camp and with enough cover for your modesty. Such bushes/tress were few and far between and we ended up walking quite some distance.
You dig a hole to bury your waste as well as the toilet paper. At least that is the theory. In practice, the ground is so hard that digging is impossibility. All you end up doing is scraping away some surface dirt and hope that it is going to be enough.
Noah had packed enough toilet paper to last us the entire journey and there was water in large Jerry-cans for washing. Small bowls were supplied too, so this place had all mod cons! Theme: CampgroundDirections: Head away from the tents and look for a tall tree or thick bush
