I am visiting Tunisia in May next year and will be staying at the El Mouradi Gammarth with my girlfriend and two young children aged 3 and 1. Does anyone know much about this hotel as it seems to have very mixed reviews? Are there places close by where we can have tunisian meals? Also, please could someone tell me how much I should expect to pay for a taxi from Gammarth to Tunis city centre? and from Gammarth to Sidi Bou Said?

As for the hotel itself I cant really say ( will try to get some info )but the area is nice that time of the year , La marsa just a couple of miles away has plenty of restaurants ,as have Sidi bou Said , price for the taxi shouldnt exceed 13 Dinars (10 $ US) for TUNIS -GAMMARTH and 5 DT (4 $) GAMMARTH- SIDI BOUSAID , there is the meter in every yellow taxi so you can check that out , dont take other types of taxis its more expensive. have fun :)
