Good Business Hotel

Stayed for 2 1/2 weeks in July 2007. Rooms were average sized with nice balconies. bathroom is modern with a tub big enough for baths buts it isn't really wide enough for a relaxing soak. Beds are very comfortable. Connecting your laptop in the room is no problem but they didn't want us to use the WiFi for some reason. There are two free PCs in the bsuiness center if you want to keep in touch. There was always one availble. Breakfast buffet came with the room and was fair. Eggs made to order and ham were there everyday along with coldcuts yougurt etc. There were also always some local entrees out for breakfast. I never ate in the hotel's upscale restaurant the food in the coffee shop type place was OK. There are a lot of foreign themed reastaurants in the neighborhood but most we tried (Spanish, Indian, Lebanese) were not very authentic and not very good. If you are an English speaker the hotel's cable TV is awful. Just CNN, BBC and the MBC2 movie channel that I have seen before and it hasn't gotten any better in the last year. The movies are unwatchable. Bring lots of books. I got a good rate of slighly over US$100 for a room whose list price was over twice that.

Its in a new neighborhood called "Saudi Island" because it is dry (no alcohol). It is a very nice area with lots of art deco style apartments and houses. Very Pretty, but no greenery.

Unique Quality: In "Saudi Island" town right outside Tunis. It is a pretty new town with very upscale apartments and villas. It got the nickname because it is dry (no alcohol). The hotel bar serves it under the table.
