a place to avoid, definitely!

This cool 4 star hotel doesn’t have anything to reach the 4 star status given!!! That’s for my understanding!

It is not so cleaned, the staff is not so helpful (they try to sell you the transportation to Carthage!!!) and the breakfast is so little!!

Definitely a place where I wont get back!

The only two positive aspects are that the hotel is pretty center located, few minutes by taxi (one way should costs you around 1,5/2,5 Dinar) and there is not a properly checkout (I left my room at 3pm)!!! Which is not too bad!

But, if I should suggest you a place to sleep, I would tyell you surely to avoid this Hotel, as is too expensive compared on what it is offering!

is advaneced hotel reservation required?

by mina.zolfy

Dear frinds,

I will be in tunisia for 9 days(21- 30 march). would you please tell me if I can find any reasonable hotels on these days or not?

my scheduling is :
21-25 hammamet or sousse (which one do you recommend?)
26-28 tozeur (DTIS 2008 conference)
29-30 tunis

thanks

I suggest you to book in advance! You're going to Tunisia during Easter so it will be a "hot" destination for europeans who want to run away from the cold weather during some days..
Hammamet is very touristic, famous for its beaches
Sousse has a lot of history, its medina is very charming...
It depends on what you're looking for :-)

Cheers,
Elisa

You should definitely reserve in advance. I'd recommend Sousse since it will be too cold for the beach, and there's not too much to do in Hammamet.

You should reserve the Dar Cherait in Tozeur, since your conference is giving you a great price. It's the best hotel in Tozeur, and one of the best in Tunisia.

As for Tunis, you can try the Mercure El Mechtel Hotel (4*), Hotel La Maison Blanche (5*), Golden Tulip Inn Carthage (5*) or Hotel Amilcar (3*).
