Villa Zouila Mahdia: Self-catering
There are three ground-floor apartments located in the new part of Madhia. Two of the flats are two-bedroomed, one has one bedroom. The two-bedroom flats have patios at both front and rear.
Absolutely away from the tourist trail. About a 10 minute walk to the medina. Same amount of time to louage and bus station, also to the train station. It is NOT in the Zone Touristique. You will be staying amongst middle-class Tunisians and will be able to participate in and observe everyday life.

Mahdia Palace: Eccellent place to stay
I spent 1 week totally relaxing in this hotel, tipical family holiday.
I suggest the place if you need to restore mind and body: beach, huge swimmingpool, confortable rooms and good service, lovely cuisine international and local, place not so far from tunis, carthago, and other turist sites to see.
There was no noise, and the rooms and all the hotel were perfectly cleaned.

Mahdia Beach Hotel: Close to the real town
The place is huge and occupied by package holidays travelers so I would not recommend it for a long stay (unless you prefer this kind of accommodation). We used it for one night on our car trip in Tunisia. We had a room with really nice sea view. The price was 50usd low season.
