The best Spa on the island

One of the oldest hotels in Djerba was the first one over the lagoon for years, which could be seen from a distance; today, it is no longer the “door” to the hotel zone, this position has now the Radisson SAS hotel.
The sobriety of its architecture, the sand colour of the buildings enhanced by the light of the setting sun, has been perfectly integrated in the environment.
However, the beach in front of the hotel is somewhat narrow, not so attractive for the tourists who prefer tanning on the beach instead of the swimming pool!

Unique Quality: Well equipped Spa, numerous rooms for the various amenities going from seaweed wraps, a variety of massages and other hydrotherapy spa specialties. Otherwise a perfect operational sequence, everything absolutely professional.
It offers really only the best to all! Both for single travelers as well as for younger and older couples a dream. Even in winter owing to Thalasso offers a good destination. And the only hotel in the area with direct beach before the house. All newer hotels have only indirectly beach connection, many none at all.
This hotel can only recommend without any hesitations!

Western Standards In Djerba

This hotel is very nice and very modern. It is a fairly typical resort style hotel but has all the good touches. I cant imagine there would be many horror stories here.

The hotel is about 3km from town, but taxis are cheap.

The staff at the hotel are all very helpful and happy. They make the stay even better!

Unique Quality: The rooms are large and comfortable and the hotel has everything you would want. This includes four restaurants, an outdoor and indoor pool and numerous bars.

If you like the beach you will be happy as the hotel is right on the beach.

Swiss quality in Tunisia !!

Unique Quality: The hotel has three restaurants:
'Movenpick' serving the buffet,
Neptune, with a very good menu (a la carte - international) and
a local restaurant, serving Tunesian food.

The Thalasso is extremely well equipped (my girlfriend enjoyed a six-day arrangement there and was very pleased by the service)

Anyone been at the Movenpick

by kbl

Hello all,

I was planning to spend a few (+/-10) days in Tunesia in September. The agency recommended me the Movenpick Ulysse palace & thalasso *in Djerba. As I'm a golfer, this seems like a good spot. Anyone any comments/suggestions/expiriences?

Thanks,

Koen

Only advice I can offer is that the Movenpick hotel I stayed at in Prague was awful. Clean and functional, but the staff were rude and the atmostphere was very clinical. Not sure whether this would be the same for the whole chain.

As I asked the question a few weeks ago and now know the answer, I tought it was a good idea to let you know that I had a great time in this very clean hotel with very friendly staff. (The shuttle to the golfcourse made it almost complete ;-))
