Beach activities

Hmmm, this wasn't an easy task to do, taking picture of the married Tunisian women while in the water. Most of the men watched me very carefully when I strolled on the beach with my camera so I couldn't take the picture in the normal way. Luckilly, I have camera with display which can be turned in all direction and the eyes couldn't see what I was shooting at.
The custom is, as you can see, very rigid. Married women cannot enter in the water in, what we call, normal swiming costume. Brrr, what a way to refresh in the sea-water.

This is the main entrance into the amusement park, which is also situated on the central square of the new Medina. The gate is built in the style of ancient Carthage, with two huge elephants on each side and the Hanibal's soldiers riding on them.

" A visit to Tunisia"
We split our visit to Tunisia in half, a week in Hammamet and a week in Port El Elkantoui.
Our base for our time in Hammamet was the 4 Star Azizia hotel, which is located right on the beach.
"Port El Elkantoui"
Our base for our stay in PEK was the 4 star Kanta hotel. PEK is a purpose built holiday resort with its modern marina
"Sousse"
A lively city, full of sights sounds and colour. A must is a visit to the medina, it spacked with local characters. The medina is also packed with historical sites.
