Hotel Le Khalife

I was looking for a hotel that is located in the city. Most of the new hotels are located in the South Hammamet. It looks as a 'normal' sea resort so I wasn't very interested going there. I wanted to feel the city and its people. So my choice was the North Hammamet. The most hotels there are older than these in the South Hammamet and no so attractive.
The hotel is cheap but provide everything you need. And the most important think: the staff there is really nice, helpful and friendly. I was very sorry that I hadn't taken any souvenirs from Bulgaria to give them.
The hotel is not located directly the sea but it is near to the beach. It provides a bus to the beach if you are so lazy and I was surprise to see that there are many people using the bus...
The food was good especially the breakfast - corn flakes and the fruit milk were really very good.
The hotel does not offer a lunch but I didn't need one because it was very hot while I was there.
The only problem we had was with the remote control of the air conditioner - we did not have one in the beginning but the staff solved the problem.
