Does any anyone know if the Royal Azur Hotel Hammamet operates a shared table system? I have already booked into the Royal Kenz in PEK but have since learned that you are allocated a table on arrival which you have to share with the same people for the entire holiday, so I am thinking of moving hotels. You might get lucky with the people you have to sit with but then again you might have to spend a fortnight with an avid denture collector or a fanatic spoon salesman. If I want to share tables when eating I'll book into Butlins at Bognor, not a 4* hotel.
whether 3 or 4 star sounds sadly terribly british style package holiday, why do agencies do this to the mentality of those who have even bothered to leave their front door!!! such an opportunity to get out and see the culture!!

In the desert, some people still live in their homes underground or in the homes they made themselves in rocks. It is colder and easier to live there because of the heats, but it is very very simple life. It is interesting to see the way these people live, so you can go and visit some of the families that opened their home to tourists.
for a real good night out in hammamet take a taxi from wherever you are staying and head for shakespeares bar , im sure once you have been you will return.
they have regular entertainment at night times with music till the early hours . they have a large terrace where you can sit outside on hot sticky evenings to cool down.
dduring the day they serve good reasonably priced bar meals and sky sports is available daily they have two classic vehicals parked on the terrace where you can sit and have a photo taken.
there are a number of bars around this area ,another one is the british bar which is a disco bar till early hours
there is also london pub ,havana, bamboo bar, and many others in this area
for anyone that has been before as of now the las palmas bar and the vcheers bar are both shut .the only bar at the bel air now is the four seasons which is a good place to start before heading off to either shakespeares or the british bar both late night venues
