I really enjoyed staying in Samira Club. It's a 3* hotel but it has everything. Beautiful beach and pool, courts for all kind of sports + games like archery, darts, table tennis... Spa center, hairdresser, horse riding, water sports....Food is great. Rooms are spacious and clean with AC but without TV which you can rent, it's cheap but you don't need TV in Samira! :)
Excellent animation team. Those guys are really great, they make good atmosphere during all day and their night shows are very good too (except when the sketch is on the program, twice a week). There's a program for kids after dinner every night and after that there's a show and Samira Club dance which is a great fun.
It's so well organized that you don't need to get out of the hotel. But it's good to see surroundings :) It's on the half way from center of Hammamet to Yasmine Hammamet, around 5km to both. Taxi is very cheap, max 5 dinar to both locations. But it's also nice to walk by the beach to medina or marina.
There are a few clubs next to the hotel: El Pacha, Oasis, British Bar...I was in Hammamet during ramadan so almost all the clubs were closed except British Bar which I don't really like.
I would say Samira is a perfect hotel for young people and families with children. But I saw there people of all ages and they all enjoyed their stay.
It's not a luxury but fun. It's great!! :)
Unique Quality: Outdoor activities during all day (beach games, sports...) & animation team
We stayed at Samira Club(***). The hotel is OK, the rooms are large and have AC, almost clean but the bathroom incredibly small. I personally didn't like the food at all, and tha animation is not quite as we were told. There is an animation program every night, but is exactly the same, even the order of the music they were playing. Besides this, the hotel is away from everything. It is not close to Yasmine Hammamet, not close to Hammamet. It is somewhere between them. The best way to go in either of the 2 medinas(old medina in Hammamet and new medina in Yasmine Hammamet) is by taxi, as the bus is full all time. If you take the cab, negociate the price before humping in. For example from Samira to Yasmine Hammamet, new medina, you should pay around 5 dinar and to hammamet medina 6 dinar. If you go to Flipper Park which is located in the northern part of Hammamet, you will pay around 8-9 dinar. The hotel is full of young people that seem to have a lot of fun, so if you are young and come here with a large group of friends, this is definitely the place to come to. There are about 2-3 discos just near the hotel entrence.
It's a good hotel, right on the beach. Food is good, pool is ok, and the beach is clean.
Accomodaton is in the bungalows of different colours- yellow, blue, green...Rooms are average size, with little terrace.
Unique Quality: The staff is funny, and the animation programes are the best here. Apart from fun, it's also very close to a part of the city with bars and clubs, so it's definitely reccomended for younger generations.
