Hi all!
Was just wondering if anyone is traveling to Hamemmet between the 25th of June and 9th of July? I'm due to go on the 25th and was originally supposed to be going with my girlfriend but we split up last week and now she doesn't want to go. So at such short notice the only choice i have is to go with a mate and i just wanted to see if anybody else around our age (24) will be out there to meet so were not bored, on what seems to be a predominately 'couples' holiday.

We are going exactly then but this is myself and my wife, but whilst I would not recommend going on your own, I think it would be fine going with a friend. I've seen twice someone go on their own and they where either bored or just latched onto unappreciative couples & families. With 2 of you there is plenty to do, including water sports, trips and of course drinking in the hotels & restaurants.
This is the second most famous oaze in south Tunisia- it's the place where famous movie The English Patient is taken. You have to climb a little to get to see the water and the view, which can be hard because of the high temperatures, but i deeply reccomend it because it's definitely worth it in the end. And after you can relax in the little 'cafe' where you can get everything- from beer, cola, tea, coffie, ice--cream and even some snacks.
As far as I heard, Hammamet is the best location for tourists. Tunisia has several touristical locations, but the best animated and "friendly" is Hammamet and Yasmine Hammamet. It is located in the northern part of the country, on the Mediteranean cost. The beach is very nice, clean and the water cristal clear. The sand is incredible and the weather perfect. Just what you need for a perfect vacation.
