Need information
Hi everyone, I'm planning of going to Tunisia in beginning of July and intend to stay at the Hotel Jinene, Sousse. Can anyone tell me if there are any transport facilities near this hotel to go toother places such as Sidi Bou Said, Port El Kantoui and others.

Hi there. If you look at my posting titled May Holiday (which is directly below yours), the reply I had is really informative and we are going to Sousse too. I'm sure you will find the info helpful. If we discover anything I think may be of interest whilst we are in Sousse I will report via the forum on our return. Have a great holiday! Pat

Yes thanks a lot, cos since it's my first visit I wanted to do some research before so I'll know where to go and what to avoid.

port el k is easy, taxis are cheap, or there are buses, or the 'noddy trains'. if you use the noddy train don't but a return ticket though. they are different colours, run by different companies. If you buy a return you have to wait for the same coloured train going back. it's so cheap anyway it's far simpler to buy singles
sidi bou said and other places can be accessed by various means. there will be organised trips, which you can book through your hotel. car hire is about 75-90 dinars per day. You can get mini buses from one town to another, called louarges, they leave when full, rather than having a set timetable. There is also a train station in sousse. it all depends how independant you are
