In fact we only visited one restaurant outside the hotel Marabout, but I really like to recommend Bonaparte Restaurant and pub.
The atmosphere was nice, a tunisian girl was having a danceshow, she was also inviting guests for a dance, friendly staff. Chicken Filet with shrimp sauce!!
Ice Surprise.
Medina street column (and rubbish)
Ribat entrance from inside
juice from the tree. drink it or pour it away!

hi there
i have a nine month baby that im taking away with me in 3 weeks time. could anyone hlep me with, whether i need to boil babys water to make the milk or can i use it straight from the bottle. if i can use the mineral water do i still need to boil it? thank you in advance (health visiter is no help)
If you are using bottled mineral water, of course you don't need to boil it - the whole point is that it is free from the sort of nasties you might find in tap water in some countries.
Bottled mineral water can contain high levels of sodium and other minerals that are unsuitable for infant consumption. You should check that the water you buy meets the following standards
Maximum mineral concentrations for drinking water (UK Department of Health)
Sodium 200 milligrams per litre (mg/l)
Nitrate 100 mg/l (best below 50 mg/l)
Nitrite 3 mg/l
Sulphate 500 mg/l
Evian and Spa are two international brands that meet these levels. The water must be still. There should be no need to boil it for an infant over 6 months. You should be sure to supplement the formula with plenty of plain water in hot weather. Artificially filtered water is not suitable.
The Tunisians believe in eating produce which is currently in season - so foodstuffs outside of this period are difficult to come by. During our stay it was time for oranges and olives! I must say the blood oranges were the juciest, most tastiest I can ever remember having. Freshly squeezed orange juice was available everywhere and there were many novel ways of displaying the oranges.
Port el Kantaoui was Tunisia's first purpose built tourist town and has now established itself as the country's most popular holiday resort. With its own beautifully appointed 300-yacht international marina its a delight to stroll around looking at the swanky yachts in the harbour and there are some lovely waterfront cafes to soak up the atmosphere.
An alternative to the tourist train is the Tuk-Tuk these are great fun to ride in (plus only one colour so you can get any one back!) and are the same price as the train - just watch your head as you get in and out. Its a bit cramped if you are tall and its difficult to see the scenery as you ride past.
