Honestly? We didn't stay at the Mouradi. Why am I writing a tip about it, then?
There was a bit of a problem with the tour company we were with, and our driver ended up dropping us at the wrong hotel - the Mouradi.
It was extremely distressing when they didn't have our names and we were in an unknown city on our own. But the staff at reception took care of everything when they didn't have to, as we weren't even clients!
They called the company to know what hotel we were supposed to be in, then called a taxi for us and indicated to the driver where we were going. We were amazed!

I don't stay here , only lunch in his big restaurant, but I would like to! I See more details in "of the beaten track"... Pool situated in a arid landscape, great view, rooms similar to the oher troglodytique rooms in the others houses of the village Matmata!
When you go to Matmata you see the troglodytique houses in center of the villagge, you just vist this becuase the tours don't take you to another sites..and there are much to sse! Therefore if you are an independent traveller, and if you had some time to spare, ask to the locals where are the Hotels this one in particular!! It's the best Hotel in this zone, and had 4 stars! You want regret because you could see how the Hotels of high standing are carried out in this troglodytic architecture. They make the amazement of the visitors dazzled by their high unexpected level of comfort, by their originality and their perfect adaptation to the climatic data.
And the example of these last statment is my photo, the smimingpool of the Hotel!
And why don't stay in this Hotel??? It's the best Hotel in this zone, and had 4 stars! And it's diferent from everything!
