Public Camp Site: Remote Camp site

Ishasha Wildernes Tented Camp opened in 2005, and is midway between Mweya and Bwindi impenetrable forest by the Ntungwe River.
I stayed here before then in 1992 so the only option was the public camp site, which is still there.
It is on the banks of the Ishasha River so you can hear the hippos - which are very noisy. When I was there we were the only people and it had no facilities at all - although the surroundings are beautiful and it is very remote here. We had a mobile camp so had everything we needed with us.

Very remote and isolated, really back to nature and you can see the tree climbing lions here.
