hotel city centre: Dot in the centre of Kampala

we stayed as a group of four in Hotel City Centre. Though gloomy looking from the outside, the rooms and ensuite bathrooms were clean and the staff helpful. the rates were quite ok for such a hotel.
Not everyone may be comfortable getting their lady wives to this place as it has a dormitory sort of look. We however found ladies and girl groups too in the Hotel.
Since we had to take the rafting trip next day mornng, we did not explore any meal options even though the reviews are good.
The hotel owner Mr Salim is a non resident mallu (from Kerala, India) who was very helpful and even organized a special hire (taxi) with printed intinerary for Kampala.

A: "generally a bit wet but still in the 80s and the hunidity is alrite.... and quite comfy in the afternoon."
