But she doens't make you feel that way. She should charge more really, but she's too nice. $1-2 Leave a Comment Theme: HostelComparison: least expensiveAddress: Everyone knows. 6th street I think.

Most of the time we pitched our tents at campgrounds. Especially in the national parcs (Chimanimani, Matobo, Great Zimbabwe, Hwange) the cooking and sanitary facilities were quite good. Further on we stayed in hotels in Harare and Bulawayo. At Kariba Lake, we stayed for 3 days at a houseboat. At the Matobo campground you have to be aware of monkeys and warthogs, they steel the food from right under your nose. View of the Chimanimani campground. Theme: Campground

The Kingdom at Victoria Falls, a gorgeous hotel which, besides, is the closest one to the falls. I have to say itīs expensive (about US$195 per night), but itīs also worthwhile. Itīs the most beautiful one in the area and so close to the falls, and the facilities and food are wonderful.
Itīs so close to the Vic Falls National Park that some animals may enter your room if you donīt close the door. Once I was having lunch in the terrace, and a family of mongooses (about 10, adults and cubs) came running to the edge, to eat the grass and leave running... i was stunning!! and a baboon passed through in front of me...Iīve never seen anything like that before. Itīs huge and gorgeous, with a wonderful natural lake inside with small crocos. The whole building is made with care, with influences of the structure of african villages...really beautiful! Shaka's Spear Backpackers, Bulawayo Z$100 a night
I could go on for hours about this place. i lived here for about 4 months when we had to leave thr rural areas during the election of 2000. It's a big backpackers a little out of the main city. TV lounge, comfy rooms to sleep in, cooking facilities, satellite TV, telephone, garden to chill in and secure as well. The bar here is small, but well-stocked and a great place to meet up with other travellers and locals too. The place used to be run by a couple of locals who have now moved unfortunately and I don't know about the new owners. A very comfortable hotel, within easy walking distance of the city center and the rooms are pretty good, with everything that you could want.
The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The pool and bar are very nice as well. Leave a Comment Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: 124 Nelson Mandela Avenue

I stayed at one that was within Matusadona NP and this was a bonus in itself. The rooms were basic but very decent and all had their own bathroom attached. The staff were amazing and the food was incredible.
Well I think the fact that you have hippos and crocodiles swimming around the base and the views that you get are worth the price. Most of the lodges also include safaris into Matusodona NP and canoe safaris around the lake. Leave a Comment

The rooms are great and the lodge arranges some brilliant trips. They also have one of the best nightclubs in Victoria Falls here.
This Lodge is only 5 mins walk from the Victoria Falls themselves and the staff are some of the most helpful I have come across. Harare has many hotels that look nice but rooms can be rented by the hour. Changing the bed linen is not common in those hotels so the bottom range is better avoided.
