Elephant Camp - Victoria Falls Around A$500 pp per night ..... but worth every cent.
Very small. Accomodates a maximum of 8 guests. They have four orphaned elephants that would now be about 18 years old which you can ride, walk with and just be around. It is a magical experience. Great food, great wine and the owners are lovely people with great knowledge of the area and the wildlife. Theme: HotelAddress: About 40 minutes drive from Victoria Falls

The Kingdom Hotel (This place is MAGNIFICENT)
This was my first stop in Africa before my 3 safari adventure. When i arrive at this hotel, i couldn't believe my eyes. I have never been more pleased with a hotel. This place was enormous and was completely in the AFRICAN theme. The rooms were top notch. There is a casino in the hotel, as well as, many restaraunts to choose from. Not only is the hotel EXCELLENT, it is walking distance to the ever great VICTORIA FALLS!! I can't explain how great tihs place is, unless you go there yourself!! The timeshare was wonderful. We also enjoyed staying at Masvingo, near the Great Zimbabwe ruins - Inn on Great Zimabwe (used to be called Norma Jeans) The Inn has a special three night deal. this includes breakfast and evening meal, which is delicious. The staff look after you so well, and they have a lovely lounge area for guests to sit and read.
Timeshare at Vic Falls is excellent. At Masvingo each chalet has beautiful views over the lake, all beautifully furnished. Theme: InnComparison: about averageDirections: The Inn is located out of Masvingo, not far from the Ruins.Other Contact: Lokothula Lodge - Victoria Falls

In Hwange National Park, where we spent most of our time, we stay mostly at Sinamatella Camp. The staff are absolutely fantastic, they treated us like gold. Main Camp was also good, but a little busier(ha!! define busy!!) and not quite as private. Cheap. Especially if the Zimbabwean dollar stays as low as it has been.
The cabins are fully functional(unless an elephant messes with the waterline!!) and if you are lucky enough to get Innocent to take care of you; build your fires, make your beds, etc. you are in for a great stay. They certainly are not five star quality, but its the best 'camping' I've ever done!! Except for the stink bugs!! We happened to be there when they were flourishing, and no matter how much you killed them, they kept coming back!! It got a little wearing on the nerves after a while, but only a small inconvenience. Theme: OtherComparison: about averageDirections: Sinamatella is in the middle-ish part of the park, about an hours drive from Hwange town.

One of the nicest places to stay anywhere in Africa. Lokuthula Lodges are luxurious, self-catering bungalows decorated in an African style. Each bungalow sleeps 6-8 people, and has its own private garden/watering hole where wild animals roam just outside your back patio. Located next to the Vic Falls Safari Lodge (the decks in back are great for sundowner drinks overlooking the water hole) and the unique Boma Restaurant.
Surrounded by national park and just a stone's throw from the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls. Baboons, Mongoose, and other wild animals literally walk through your back yard.

This place is absolutely wonderful! Each guest have their own lodge/bungalow, whatever you want to call it, with a view over the matetsi river. Every lodge have their own little pool, bathroom(which was huuge), and a very beutifully decorated livingroom. The lodge serves breakfast at the main building, which is very small but cozy, lunch you can either eat at the same place or they will serve it to your room, its one choice only lunch but it is absolutely wonderful. Dinner usually has three courses, with 2 choices for the maincourse. All the guests(I think(?)) are free to go on safaris, bush walks(HIGHLY RECOMMENDED), and boattours on the matetsi. The safaris start very early, like 6 in the morning latest, and you return at 9, and you'll have breakfast. The guides are very highly trained, very polite and very nice. Our guide Sib and his scout Kenyas was super! There are alot of bugs in Zimbabwe, and you need to be careful where you step, and make sure you close your doors to your room. This is not a place for bugphobics. Crocodiles hang out in the river and they might climb up on the beaches so don't go near the water. A huge lizard jumped in our pool, it was looking for drowned bugs. Bleurgh. It wasn't dangerous, just big and scary.
The food is amazing, the chef loves to share recipies, so don't be afraid to ask him. The place is very relaxing, and there isn't much to do apart from the bushactivities. So do bring your own entyertainment if you bore easily. The personell is super and take good care of you The scenery is stunning.
