When we were leaving Kabul, we had been asked to bring along some blankets because we would be provided accomodation in a tent where the media on base puts up... 45degrees cel everyday- so how cold can it get at night we wondered, and therefore, no blankets... the first visit to our tent prooved us right- or so we thought. It was BOILING inside! night happened and after a hard days work, the three of us are asleep in no time. 2am- brrrr, toss turn- all three- freezing! to top that- a huge fan blowing wind full blast! the temperature dosent fall very low, however, the difference in temperatures in the near desert climate was so much- day to night- that it felt much lower! Almost all the troops have airconditioned accomodation! we were the chosen ones:P
This was one of three tents on campus that were not airconditioned!
