Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam
When I first arrived in the lobby, several uniformed gentlemen made sure that I was checked-in quickly, had full information about the hotel, a local map and showed me to my room. My room was very nice and good-sized. I had to double beds and the mattresses were excellent. My room had lots of neat features. When I opened my large walk-in closet, the lights came on and my robe was hanging there waiting for me to jump into it. Near my bed were electrical outlets that could take almost any type of plug, even ones from the UK. My mini-bar was big enough to put my own drinks into. The bathroom was excellent and I really enjoyed my rain shower and top quality toiletries.
It was evening and I went down to the buffet restaurant before they closed. This was the only issue I had the whole time. I was told I was too late. It was 30 minute until they closed. I walked in anyway. The lazy women there even forgot to charge me. The food was average.
The next day I realised that the hotel is an easy walk to the Royal Regalia Museum, the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, and the Kampong Ayer Water Village. Also a very easy stroll to a multitude of restaurants.
Relaxing at the hotel is great. They have an outdoor pool with massive covered sun loungers. I enjoyed sitting around reading my book and drinking my duty free mixed with soft drinks and ice from the ‘bar’. Please be discrete, but a multitude of sins can be disguised in a plastic soda bottle.
This is an excellent hotel. Please do ask for a room at the back as some young folks try drag racing their cars past the front at night.

The Business Hotel of Brunei
I was at the Terrace Hotel next door. There are nice facilities in this hotel including a nice place to have a little bit of tucker, away from the noise. if you dont want to be mistaken for the business types who come here, dont come here.. there are occasional special rates on the internet and for a family this might be a good alternative. you could also bargain for your room rate since they seem to be amenable to it.

Sheraton Utama Hotel
The Sheraton Utama Hotel is one of the best hotels located within Bandar Seri Begawan, very close to many of the city's attractions such as The Royal Regalia, Brunei History Centre, Water Village, and Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque. The hotel is about nine kilometres from the Brunei International Airport and offer a limited airport pickup and drop-off service. I did not stay in this hotel but my Bruneian friends told me that it is good, although the exterior facade of the building is rather uninteresting because the hotel was built many years ago. Check out their website below for more details.
BSB's favorite hotel
Sheraton Utama in Bandar Seri Begawan is probably one of the oldest hotel here. It's is conveniently located within walking distance of many of Brunei's tourist attractions, such as The Royal Regalia, Brunei History Centre, Water Village, and Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque. The rooms are quite modest for the Sheraton chain of hotels and probably needs an update. The rooms are spacious and the color scheme is predominantly beige & white.
There is also a restaurant on the ground floor but I'm not sure if they serve alcohol. They do serve hearty breakfast which is not always included in the room rate
