Pine Hill Resort: Charming but chilling

Pine Hill Resort, is a colonial bungalow style hotel a bit off the centre of the town.
It is full of charm: big room with large windows and a balcony with views to surrounding hills.
Breakfast (european) is served in a beautidul dining room covered in wood.
There though only two problems: electricity was available after 5pm (perhaps this happened only that day) and second it was chilling to death at night as Kalaw sits on a high altitute (there was not heating)

Kalaw, Pine Land Inn: Kalaw: the best of the worst

I visited all the guesthouses in this small city and found them too dirty or too expensive.

Pine Land Inn isn't my favourite in Myanmar but it was, for me, the best option in Kalaw.

You pass a very dark entrance (where you have to eat the next morning) but the rooms are spacious and with a clean shower.

We only paid US 6 $ for a double, a cheapie
