Bagan Golf Resort

Not so Amazing Resort

We spent 3 nights here. We were expecting something pretty good based on previous reviews, however, it was not to be.

Pros:
Near the airport, but then Bagan is small.
Rooms are of a good size.
The hotel is out in the countryside, but then Bagan has hardly any traffic.
Free bicycles for touring
Staff on the whole are competent.
Swimming pool - water is cold

Cons:
Fair distance from town and any alternative restaurants. There are restaurants a few km away, this necessitates a cycle ride in the dark/ a taxi
Taxis are hard to come by and are very expensive relative to Yangon
Rooms were not very clean and are of variable quality. The rooms have a run down look and housekeeping is minimal.
Rooms open onto an outside corridor, thus letting in the cold, dust and mosquitoes (bring insect spray).
Only had breakfast here - quality was poor: we were quoted three prices for breakfast in the space of a few minutes, each more expensive than the previous one.

Unique Quality: Gold course nearby
