Win Unity Resort, Monywa: Cottages on reclaimed land
Win Unity Resort is located at Monywa,160 kms northwest of Mandalay. The resort hotel is situated on reclaimed land from Kan-Thar-Yar lake, offering nice natural landscapes and man-made beautiful gardens that complement the serenity of the lake. Each morning brings fresh air over a picturesque sunrise. Cottages have their own veranda to enjoy the sunset.
Monywa is a typical Myanmar town located on the banks of the Chindwin River,close to the site of the Alantayar Pagoda,(about 20 minutes drive) sight of the largest reclining Buddha image in all of South East Asia, over 600 feet long. Also close to the Pho-win Daung caves on the other side of the river. 1000`s of Buddha-statues !
Unique Quality: A clean and relatively cheap, newly constructed cottage-hotel with modern amenities and a (basic) restaurant. Good chinese food!

Monywa Hotel: Accommodation in Monywa
Previously own by Government but now private own hotel. Clean and Friendly service. Price 20 and 25$ for a double room.
