We got the cheapest room in the basement, which is cool but dingy. It was $3 per person for a double with 2 beds.
Unique Quality: One of the few places in Lashio that takes foreigners. They have the cheapest rooms in the basement area. It's a regular hotel, and the day that we were there a big wedding reception was being held above us.
We had missed the bus south, and stayed here rather than hiking up the hill again to Ya Theik with our backpacks. (The bus stop is closer to this hotel, if you're hoofing it.)
Ya Theik is much nicer than this place; we should've gone back there.

We managed to get a double room with 2 beds for $3 each, but there are only a couple of these cheapies on the top floor. The rest of the hotel was more like, oh, 20 to 40 as I can recall.
Unique Quality: Yikes, the first 2 cheaper hotels that we tried in Lashio were full! Many hotels this far off the beaten path do not take tourists at all, so options are limited even though Lashio is a big town.
This is a fairly nice hotel, and the first room prices that they told us made us gag; this is NOT a backpacker sort of place! But when we told them that we only had a little money, they found us a cheap room on the top floor, with shared bath. Not great, but only $3 each.
It's close to the night market and restaurants, but everything closes up by about 11 or so.
