Kandawgyi Palace Hotel

I had a great experience at this hotel. It is situated right on beautiful Kandawgyi Lake with nice gardens and pool. The rooms have an exceptional view of the lake. High recommended and you can get great deals over the Internet.

Pool in the jungles

Squirrel`s diner

Hotel is good. On the shore of a lake. One side to the lake , other - to Shwedagon , it`s so beauty at night ! If you place on your room table or window-skill banana , very soon you can see squirrel , eating your refreshments.

Burma's best lakeside resort

Just great.
Service is prompt and stewards and stewardesses are just too polite.
Wooden flooring without carpets.

Unique Quality: One can get a great massage-- mix of Myanmarese and Thai or anyone separately after a leg breaking walking tour of Shwedagon.
Pool is three staged and has small flowers from the surrounding trees occassionally dotting the water.
The pool overlooks the lake and has a great view.

Comfort at the Lakeside

Arriving in Yangon after spending a night in dull Singapore ( in transit from Siem Reap, eventhough we could have easily flown Siem Reap to Bangkok to Yangon without transiting in Bangkok.. next time), it was a welcome relief to spend the night at the Kandogyi palace Hotel situation right at the banks of the Lake, a few km north of the Bogyoke Market.
Architecturally pleasing, Burmese style. The staff was very attentive and efficient.

Unique Quality: Tranquil. Away from the noise of the city. Lakeside. Comfortable room. Price of about 50 usd very reasonable for this sort of accomodation
