I really liked this 4-star hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly. There is a restaurant and small bar on the main floor, along with a gift shop (of course!)
It isn't right downtown--and probably too far to walk in for most people--but it is only a $2 ride in one of the motorcycle taxis. A little strip of shops just a few blocks from the hotel has a pharmacy, mini-mart and currency exchange.
Unique Quality: It has a nice outdoor pool in a garden setting. There is a gym also, although I didn't use it.
The guest rooms are around an inner courtyard that has low chaise lounges, fish ponds and statuary--a perfect place to relax with a book or a drink. The corridors outside the rooms overlook this area.
