Western Owned Hotel in Siem Reap
Owned by a Westerner (american?) and his local wife. Was told this new hotel was opened less than half year ago.
Stayed here for two nights as we wanted to try other hotels in Siem Reap. Booked this hotel while we were in Phnom Penh. They provide free pick up at the bus terminal which is nice but the tuk tuk driver who fetched us had kind of expect us to ride on his tuk tuk for the next few days to the Ang Kor temples which we already have seen all during our first few days in Siem Reap.
Anyways, the hostess tried to sell us some day trips to Koh Ker, Beng Mealea and Kbal Spean. But due to budget constraint, we are not able to afford these trips, thus the hostess' attitude towards us began to change too... Their day trips are affiliated with Peace of Ang Kor Villa.
Rooms are claimed to be spotlessly clean but I found the same stain on our bedsheet on our second night stay. @-@
The hotel is located at the right side of siem reap river, it is around 15mins walk from the hotel to the old market.
