More about Soria Moria Boutique Hotel

Perfect hotel!

by TripAdvisor Member ShoegalGothenburg

I stayed at the Soria Moria with my boyfriend for ten nights after the opening. The rooms are stylish, nice and clean, the staff unbelievably friendly, the restaurant serves delicious food and overall this was the best hotel stay we've ever had in Asia. Thank you for the perfect stay, we'll definitely return!

Very helpful and friendly staff. They arranged trips to Angkor temples, Silk farm and The Floating villages. It turned out much better to let them help you than to try and do it yourself. Cheaper and better.
The room was big and clean with a very nice king size bed. We also found it very positive that Soria Moria is helping the local community with charity and business. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Simply brilliant!

Checked out from the hotel earlier today and I'm still smiling by the sweet, funny and attentive staff. They're all very very sweet and helpful and help you out with anything with a smile and a giggle.

The rooms at this hotel are spacious and very very clean, and the complimentary internet access is a big big plus. Very comfortable beds.

The room service has very good food, and the hotel restaurant offers brilliant food at affordable prices.

Kristin, the hotel manager is doing a very good job with this hotel, and the fact that the hotel is doing so much for the local community and the people of Cambodia really makes you feel good about staying here as well. The staff is being very well trained in the aspects of running a hotel as well as learning english. Investing in the future of this up and coming tourist haven.

Also have to give a shout out to Viroths restaurant right down the street from the hotel it is AMAZING! Innovative Khmer cuisine served in very modern and elegant surroundings.

Love it!

I have stayed at Soria Moria several times in 2008. It is such a nice place to be with friendly staff who will do all they can to help you and give you a nice experience. The rooms are spacious and clean and have a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I sleep like a baby when I am staying at Soria Moria.
Soria Moria have complimentary wifi and a great rooftop bar where you can order tapas and watch the sunset. Unfortunately I never tried the jacuzzi on the roof top, I have to try it out next time!
The hotel is close to town but because it is so quiet you almost forget that you are only in walking distance from the city center.
I can honestly recommend a stay here.

A jewel of a hotel in Siem Reap

by TripAdvisor Member MRTRAVEL2008

The room was very large and comfortable. It was very Clean.
Short Walk across the river or $1 taxi fare into town.
We were picked up by Ra - The hotel's tuk tuk driver and he showed us the temples too.

Reception and breakfast was very friendly.

I will definitely stay here again.

I believe a Norwegian couple run it - great attention to detail.

Great hotel, nice location

by TripAdvisor Member angelajl

My husband and I stayed at the Soria Moria hotel for three nights in October. It was exactly as advertised and everything I'd hoped. The room was spacious and comfortable, with nice amenities. The location is great, about a 5-minute walk from the Old Market and Pub Street.

The breakfast buffet is delicious, with a good variety. We ate three other meals in the Soria Moria restaurant, and each was excellent. We particularly enjoyed their Wednesday night $1 Night. All food (from the extended appetizer menu) and all drinks cost only $1 each!

I highly recommend this hotel. All of the employees at the hotel are friendly and helpful. The service, accommodations, amenities, and food are all fantastic!

Just Lovely!!!

We have stayed in Soria Moria now for 5 weeks (oct. nov. 2008)No reason to change hotel for the next 3 weeks we will stay in Siem Reap.
Why? Easy to say:
Very delicate, clean and big rooms. A hotel with style. Close to the river and center of Siem Reap. Peaceful area and peaceful cambodians. Very nice staff. Good service and food.
All facilities we need.
Very acceptable prices compared to others.
Many nice activities for visitors in the hotel and nearby.
Just try it and you will see!!

What a lovely hotel!

by TripAdvisor Member phoenix7577

I only have high praise for Soria Moria. The staff were absolutely delightful and helped in any way we needed. We have a 20 month old daughter and everyone went out of their way to make sure that we had a cot as requested, and that they could help us test out and use our baby monitor, so that we could eat downstairs at the restaurant and have a drink upstairs on the rooftop bar while she slept. Everyone was really child-friendly, without being suffocating. The room itself was large and comfortable - exactly as described from the website and here on Trip Advisor. Great value for money (we booked directly with the hotel as I wanted to make sure the cot and airport transfers were all confirmed, but you could prob get cheaper deals on some of the last minute websites??). Breakfast was a lovely buffet which we were all happy with (and my partner is particularly fussy about his breakfast!). The location is also perfect - less than 5 mins walk to the Old Market/Pub Alley etc... but in a more quiet and less backpacker-ey environment. We could only stay for 2.5 days, but there was plenty of info in the hotel about activities other than temples, if you were there for longer and wanted some other options.

Recommended Hotel in Siem Reap

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Soria Moria Hotel. We stayed in a deluxe room, as part of their 4night/5day package which was great value. The deluxe room was huge; the bathroom was spacious and clean, and all amenities were in working order. There is also a lift in the hotel as well. There is also free wifi too which was great, but the internet is slow (it is slow in Cambodia everywhere) The roof top bar was great, but I think it might need a fan out there as it can get quite hot.. the jacuzzi was a great touch, it was awesome! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we truly felt special. They really do make this hotel. The buffet breakfast was very nice as well. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent as well, and reasonable in price. The hotel has specials through out the week, such as half price food on Saturday which is a great incentive to stay and eat within the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, I cannot fault it.. 2 thumbs up to the ladies at the front desk, they were so helpful and lovely!

Swedish design touch in Siem Reap

by TripAdvisor Member annapavia

Design environment, fusion food and...fusion staff!
My room was really clean and welcoming, a good place to go back to. Available shared yacuzzi (for free) and one massage room (reasonable price). They arranged free pick up form the airport and on request also the taxi driver and guide for the temples tour (the can also arrange rent-a-bycicle tours and a number of other activities. They also booked the tiket for my boat to Phnom Phen. So, once again, book the hotel first, and then arrange with it the next moves (even by internet prior the departure).
One of the best thinks about them is theyr concern about environment, child safety etc. Very swedish attitude in the middle of Cambodia.
There is only 1 pc with internet (this should be improved) and they don't take American Express.
